Areas I Specialize In Going Deeper: How I Approach Care My approach is attachment-based, emotionally focused, trauma-informed, and psychodynamic — meaning we take the time to understand what you're carrying, why it makes sense, and how to build lasting change at a pace that feels manageable. Beyond the concerns listed above, I also support adults navigating ADHD, OCD, and LGBTQIA+-related concerns, along with other challenges that can feel hard to name.Learn More About My Approach

Insurance & Payment Options Making Therapy More Accessible Cost and coverage are often the first questions people have before reaching out — here's what to expect.

Session Fees

  • Individual Telehealth Session (50 minutes): $135.00
  • Couples Telehealth Session (60 minutes): $145.00
  • Free 15-Minute Consultation: No cost — a chance to ask questions and see if we're a good fit before booking a full session

I work with several trusted platforms to make therapy more affordable and easier to access:

  • Alma — book sessions and check your insurance benefits in-network
  • Headway — see your estimated cost and available appointment times
  • SonderMind — match your insurance plan and schedule directly
  • Rula — check coverage and connect for an appointment
  • Grow Therapy — verify your benefits and find available times

Through these platforms, many major insurance plans are accepted, though coverage varies by plan. Self-pay options are also available for anyone who prefers to work with me directly outside of insurance — some clients choose this route for added privacy or because their plan isn't in-network with any of the platforms above.

If you're unsure which platform works best with your insurance, or whether self-pay makes more sense for your situation, feel free to reach out — I'm happy to help point you in the right direction. You don't need to have this figured out before contacting me. Contact Me with questions about insurance or getting started.

About Me

Hi, I'm David Rothman, LPC.

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor providing telehealth therapy to adults and couples throughout Colorado. Over the past six years, I've supported people through moments of disconnection, anxiety, trauma, and the kind of stuck feeling that's hard to put into words.

My approach draws on attachment-based, emotionally focused (EFT), trauma-informed, and psychodynamic therapy — meaning we don't just talk about what's wrong, we take the time to understand why it makes sense, and build change at a pace that actually feels manageable.

As a husband and father myself, I understand firsthand how central connection is to our well-being — and how hard it can be to reach for it when you're overwhelmed, guarded, or unsure where to start.

You don't have to have the right words yet. You just have to be willing to start.
